Two-handed Sidearm Strike

Two-handed side-arm strike is a manipulative action where an implement is used to strike the ball to send it to its intended direction.

Balance is important when executing this skill and this is achieved by having the feet and legs comfortably spread out to provide a stable base of support. The distance of the backswing also adds on to the production of force for the strike. Straightening your arms as the bat moved towards the ball also adds extra force.

In order for kids to practice this skill, place the ball on a tee-stand so that it reduces their workload on tracking the ball and encourage correct posture and striking action.
