Striking with Implement (Overhead) is a more advanced skill and requires coordination of the hands and eyes, being able to track an incoming ball and strike that ball in one motion.

Children can start learning this skill in a developmentally appropriate manner, starting with the use of lightweight objects such as balloons or beach ball. These equipment has more air time and allow the kids to track the ball, thereby training their hand-eye coordination skill.

Balance is achieved when your feet and legs are are comfortably spread to provide a stale base of support. Bending your knees will lower the centre of gravity, further increasing stability.
