Running

Running is seen as an extension of walking and is having both both feet are off the ground for a brief period of time.  Skills that required running includes jogging, sprinting, chasing and dodging. All these skills are important to daility activities, games and sports.

 

In order to achieve maximum efficiency while running, encourage kids to move their arms forward and back, to minimise any lateral movements across the body. Leaning your body slightly in the direction of the run helps create momentum.
