Underhand rolling is a manipulative action whereby it involves imparting force to an object in such a way that it travels along the ground. This action requires the kid to step forward with the foot opposite to the hand that is holding the ball.

 

It is also important to encourage the kid to step and roll at the same time, to ensure a fluid execution of the skill. Underarm roll can be found in games such as bowling and lawn bowling.
