Kicking

Kicking is a propelling action that uses the foot to send the object to an intended target. in order to strike an object, balance and stability is achieved when your body parts are comfortable spread out to provide balance.

 

Hence, in kicking, the hands are used as a counterbalance to stabilise the body to allow the leg to execute the kick. As kicking is also a ballistic skill, the run-up of 2-3 steps is important for them to accumulate power.
